The East African, or "Kenyan", Sand Boa is part of a group of smaller boids called erycin boas. This often misunderstood little burrower is a great starter snake that is typically docile and easily handled. Though they do spend a lot of time hidden away in their enclosures, they will often pop out and hang around on the surface to watch the world go by. Easy to work with and available in an increasingly wide variety of morphs, this humble serpent is highly recommended to anyone looking for a smaller snake to snuggle.
